Moldavite, a rare and fascinating tektite, is a natural glass formed by a meteorite impact. Its distinctive olive-green to forest-green hue and unique, often wrinkled or etched surface make it highly prized. With a hardness of 5.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, it requires careful handling. Believed to have originated from the Ries crater impact in Germany, Moldavite is primarily found in the Czech Republic (Czechia). Its extraterrestrial origin and vibrant color have made it a sought-after gemstone for collectors and those interested in metaphysical properties.
